HB 196 Passes Thanks to GPhA Members

Thank you to everyone who contacted their representative about HB 196. 
 

It passed the Georgia House this morning by a vote of 168-0. 

We are grateful for bill sponsor Rep. Trey Kelley, Committee Chairman Lee Hawkins, Rules Chairman Butch Parrish, and Speaker Jon Burns for their support during the legislative process. And thank you also to Chairman Alan Powell and Chairman Ron Stephens for their impassioned support along with many others.  

HB 196 will continue the process in the Senate. We are halfway through the legislative session and have plenty of time to work with senators for final passage. Chairmen Powell and Stephens took the well (meaning they publicly supported the bill in front of the entire House) emphasizing the need for equitable reimbursement for independent pharmacies.
