The Georgia Pharmacy Foundation is a nonprofit formed exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes, within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, with a mission is to advance the quality of healthcare for patients in Georgia communities through the profession of pharmacy.
Georgia Pharmacy Foundation, Inc. is organized:
- to promote the public welfare through the development of quality pharmaceutical services;
- to encourage, provide for and engage in scientific research, professional education and study;
- the advancement of the art and science of the profession of pharmacy;
- to provide scholarships to students enrolled in approved schools and colleges of pharmacy in order to further their education;
- and to improve the quality and increase the availability of professional pharmaceutical services to the public.

PharmWell
- One of the Georgia Pharmacy Foundation’s key missions is helping combat pharmacist burnout, including depression, drug abuse, and a high suicide rate. The Foundation is currently reworking the PharmWell program, but if you are in need of assistance, please reach out to us at info@gpha.org and we will connect you to the correct resources.
Student Support
- The cost of higher education is climbing! The Foundation is dedicated to awarding scholarships to pharmacy students, as well as partnering with financial advisers to offer students and new graduates some relief from a life-long of debt.

SCHOLARSHIPS
A vital part of the Georgia Pharmacy Foundation’s mission is to provide scholarships to students enrolled in approved schools and colleges of pharmacy in order to further their education. Applications for 2026 scholarships will be open in the winter of 2025. Stay tuned for details.
Travel Grant
Student pharmacists who are interested in learning more about the Pharmacy Recovery Network and the disease of addiction may be eligible for travel assistance to APhA’s Institute on Substance Use Disorders. The amount of the travel grant is determined by the GPhF PharmWell committee. If you are interested in applying for these funds, please e-mail GPhF to request more information.
Emergency Relief Fund
The Emergency Relief Fund provides financial assistance to GPhA members, pharmacists, pharmacy owners and pharmacy technicians, for the recovery of their independent pharmacies or personal properties in the event of disaster, accidents, illness, or other adverse circumstances. Proof of damages is required, as a copy of an insurance claim. Please contact the Georgia Pharmacy Foundation for more information or submit a Disaster Relief Application.
