The Jeff Lurey Independent Community Pharmacy Student Scholarship
If you’re a P3 student at one of Georgia’s four pharmacy schools, you may be eligible for $5,000 scholarship available to GPhA student pharmacist members.
Applications are due by March 1, so click here for info — including applicant requirements and judges’ considerations.
Policy on Tap
Enjoy some beer while getting a primer on the side of pharmacy you don’t see in school — advocacy and legislation.
Held at a local brewery, Policy on Tap is an informal gathering around food and drink, with updates on GPhA’s legislative priorities from our state legislators, lobbyists, and members of GPhA’s advocacy team. Students will learn about creation of bills, what issues are at the forefront of pharmacy in Georgia, and how they can work as advocates for the practice of pharmacy across the state.
Day at the Dome
Our next Day at the Dome is February 12, 2025, and will be virtual. Please stay tuned for further details for each pharmacy school.
The next Georgia State Legislative Session begins January 13, 2025, and runs through approximately April 3, 2025.
Once a year, hundreds of Georgia pharmacy students put on their white coats, gather at the Georgia State Capitol.
It’s called Pharmacy Day at the Dome, GPhA’s annual advocacy events just for Georgia student pharmacists.
Pharmacy Day at the Dome is free and it’s your way to learn more about legislative advocacy, have your voice heard — and have more than a little fun in the process.
You’ll join our advocacy staff to meet virtually-to-face with legislators, and you’ll see up close and personal how to advocate for pharmacists.
Check out some photos and videos from previous Days at the Dome!.
