The Jeff Lurey Independent Community Pharmacy Student Scholarship
GPhA is proud to announce the 2024 Jeff Lurey Independent Community Pharmacy Student Scholarship available to GPhA student pharmacists. This scholarship amounts to $5,000 and is awarded annually. Click here to apply!
Eligibility:
- P3 Student
- Currently enrolled at Mercer, PCOM, South, or UGA
- Current GPhA student member
- Expressed an interest in owning an Independent Pharmacy after graduation
- Submitted electronic application
Criteria (these are not requirements):
- Is working or has worked in an independent pharmacy
- Completed a rotation in an independent pharmacy
- Attended the Georgia Pharmacy Convention
- Attended a GPhA Region Meeting
- Taken business or entrepreneurial classes
- Family member owns or operates an independent pharmacy
- Is able to attend convention to receive the award
Judging:
- The AIP executive committee will vet the applications.
- The final three applicants will be asked to present to the AIP Board of Directors at AIP’s spring meeting in Macon.
Timing:
- Applications due by March 15
- Recipient notified by May 1
