Pharmacists participate in disease prevention by administering and advocating for vaccinations. Additionally, pharmacists are more accessible to patients than any other healthcare professional. This session reviews updates regarding vaccine protocol administration requirements to aid pharmacists in meeting vaccination needs.

About the speakers:
Johnathan Hamrick, PharmD
A 2010 graduate of Mercer University, Hamrick’s pharmacy journey started in October of 2004 at Adams Drug Store in Cordele where he served as a delivery driver and pharmacy technician.
After earning his PharmD, Johnathan became pharmacist in charge at Kenmar Pharmacy in Marietta, where he helped establish and operate its travel health and immunization clinic.
Currently, Hamrick is director of introductory pharmacy practice experiences at Mercer University’s School of Pharmacy, as well as faculty advisor for the NCPA and Kappa Psi chapters; he teaches the communications, IPPE, management, and law courses.
