Courage to Change - Our Door to the Future

GPhA's Convention 2008 is just around the corner! Within the beautiful Amelia Island setting, Georgia pharmacists will explore innovative technology and learn exciting ways to improve the pharmacy practice — as well as experience the legendary fun social activities of a GPhA Convention. First out of the gate, GPhA brings you "The Man" Calvin Stovall, President & CEO, The Professional Advantage, Inc. Mr. Stovall will be the featured keynote speaker at the First General Session on Sunday and will give a dynamic presentation on "How to Adapt Innovative Pharmacy Practices in the State of Georgia." Every pharmacist can benefit from the wisdom and motivation shared by Calvin Stovall.

Second General Session will feature Georgia's own Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner, John Oxendine. GPhA members will have an opportunity for a Q & A Session with Mr. Oxendine.

Rick Karsten, R.Ph., Incoming Director of Georgia Drugs & Narcotics Agency and Matt Metcalf, Director of Government Affairs for GPhA, will team up for the Third General Session to discuss the need for increased political activism among pharmacists.

In between the General Sessions, there are numerous CE programs, academy receptions, meetings and social activities. Saturday night we will host a bonfire on the beach, sure to be a fun and memorable occasion.

Of course, the Exhibit Hall will be open on Saturday and Sunday, with many exhibits for you to view and prizes for you to win. Each day of the Exhibit Hall, GPhA members will be treated to a wine and cheese reception.
